A massive leakage of the gas pipeline has reportedly occurred, on Wednesday, in some areas of Ikeja, Lagos.
According to a statement by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the affected areas include Allen, Oba Akran and Anifowose, Computer village and Medical road.
The agency also advised residents around the affected areas not to open their shops or use naked fire for safety reasons.

“I want to assure everyone that all necessary agencies are on the ground to ensure safety at the site. We w want to implore people to stay away from the scene,” acting coordinator of NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye said.
