Matawalle Backs Buhari’s Mission To Solve Lingering Crisis.

Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara state has pledged to support federal government policies and programmes to end the lingering crisis in the country.
Matawalle who spoke through, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bala Bello said the people of the state would continue to support initiatives that would bring an end to the security challenges being faces in the country.
According to him, Zamfara state had never record end SARS protest but rather demonstrated support for the establishment of SWAT by the federal government.
He further revealed that, current security challenges facing the country was a source of concern to the people of the state.
Matawalle stressed the need for the federal government to construct roads to the hunter lands to ensure movement of the security agencies to the areas facing banditry.
He reminded me federal government on the N10b support fund pledged to the state but yet to be released.
“Let me use this forum to remind you of the N10 billion promised the state by the federal government but yet to be redeemed, it is now time for the minister to pursue the release of the funds”, he added.
At the town hall meeting, Chairman of the Zamfara state council of chiefs, Alhaji Attahiru Ahmad urged the federal government to ensure redeployment of security agents to the scene of the bandits.
The monarch expressed worry over failure of the security agents were not reaching the base of the bandits.
“We wonder why inspite of the surplus of security agents in the state but they could not reach the camp of the bandits”, he added.
Earlier on, minister of Humanitarian Affairs , Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajia Sadiya Umar Faruk, said the town hall meeting was aimed bringing all stakeholders together to form a common front to move the nation forward.
She stressed, the federal government desire to create for more opportunities, such as cash transfer, N-Power, Market Money, Farmers Money and more laudable programmes for the youths. ENDs
