Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and his entourage escaped death when their private jet crash-landed at Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Friday night.
According to reports, the HS25 aircraft was coming from Abuja, where the minister had attended a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari and other cabinet members.
The aircraft, which was operated by King Air Jet Services, reportedly developed a technical fault as it approached the airport runway around7:21 pmm.
The pilot attempted to land the aircraft safely, but it skidded off the tarmac and veered into the bush.
The aircraft, however, suffered substantial damage.
The minister’s spokesperson, Olufemi Oyewole, confirmed the incident in a statement, saying that the minister and others were in stable condition and thanked God for sparing their lives.
