The traditional ruler of Ukwulu ancient Kingdom in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State, Igwe Peter Anaukwu Uyanwa, has advised wealthy individuals in the society to take advantage of the Christmas celebration to show little kindness to the less privileged individuals around them to enable them to rejoice with others as the Christan community all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Igwe Peter Uyanwa stated this in his 2021 Christmas message to all his subjects, friends, and well-wishers across the state.
He reminded the people, especially the rich in the society that there was the need for them to use their God’s given wealth to care for the wellbeing of their neighbors at a time like this to put smiles on their faces.
The Monarch noted that there is joy in sharing and applauded Governor Willie Obiano’s routine gesture every year to the Civil servants in the State and thanked God for the timely realization of Anambra International Cargo/Passengers Airport at Umueri by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) led government in the state.
He said the laudable project has bolstered the social and economic wellbeing of people of the Umueri Community with the commencement of commercial flights at the Airport.
He warned youths of the Community and Anambra State, in general, to restrain themselves from indulgence in nefarious acts that could ruin their lives with particular reference to the consumption of methamphetamine and other illicit drugs that are inimical human lives.
He also commended the legacy projects of Governor Willie Obiano led administration which he said are scattered in all the nooks and crannies of the State even as he expressed optimism that the Governor-elect and former Governor Central Bank of Nigeria, Professor Charles Soludo, and his Deputy Dr.Onyekachukwu Ibezim would consolidate on the infrastructure development projects of the present Government in the State.

Igwe Uyanwa who is also the immediate past Chairman of Traditional Rulers Council, Anambra Central, urged the Nigerian Government at all levels and those in the private sector to work towards creating job opportunities for unemployed youths in other to stem the increase in kidnapping, banditry, extrajudicial killings, armed robbery and other criminal acts that are inimical to the unity and progress of the Country.
