The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) once again arrested Ismaila Mustapha. Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known as Mompha was initially arrested for a 33 billion Naira scam but was released after meeting his bail conditions.
Mompha was arrested when he went to collect his valuables (five wristwatches, an iPhone and an Apple air pod, eight mobile phones, and a pair of sunglasses). These items had, on July 24, been ordered to be released by Justice Mohammed Liman.
Mr Gboyega Oyewole, Mompha’s lawyer claimed the re-arrest of Mompha is illegal and no charge has been filed against him.
