A former Lagos state Commissioner of Police , Hakeem Odumosu has debunked claims of his appointment as the new chairman of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

There were claims circulating on Tuesday that president Bola Tinubu had  appointed the former commissioner as the new chairman of the EFCC .

Reacting, Odumosu debunked the news as untrue,saying  they were emanated from mischief makers.

He said”Good Morning everyone, I have been inundated with so many calls and messages between yesterday and today on a purported “EFCC Appointment”. I just want to use this opportunity to debunk this information and say it’s totally untrue.

“This information must have emanated from Mischief Makers and should be totally disregarded,”

Odumosu was a former commissioner of Lagos who retired as an Assistant inspector general of police.
