The Naira, yesterday depreciated further against the American dollar at the official window.
Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the Naira closed at N1,447.82/$1, as against the N1,447.64/$1 it traded on Wednesday.
This represents a depreciation of N0.89 for the local currency against the American greenback.
The Naira lost N7 against the American greenback to trade at N1,482/$1, as against the previous day’s rate of N1,475/$1.
It also lost N5 against the British Pound to trade at N1,935/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1,930/£1, while closing flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,250/CA$1, the same as the previous day’s rate of N1,100/CA$1.
Against the Euro, the Naira closed flat trading at ₦1,685/€1, the same as the previous day’s rate of ₦1,685/€1.
