NAPTIP disclaims recruitment exercise

By Ben Ogbemudia, Abuja

The Management of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) yesterday disclaimed fake advertorial uploaded on a cloned website by a faceless person purportedly announcing the commencement of Recruitment exercise by the Agency.

Head, Press and Public Relations Unit, Stella Nezan in a statement in Abuja said the fabricated advertorial solicits application from Nigerians for the purpose of a sham employment exercise.

“The Management wishes to disassociate itself from the advertorial and state categorically and unequivocally that the Agency is not recruiting neither has it mandated any person, group of persons or recruitment Agency to recruit on its behalf.

“ In the light of the above, while the necessary apparatus of the Agency has been activated to identify and bring these Agents of falsehood to book, NAPTIP wishes to warn unsuspecting job seekers and the public to shun the fake recruitment advertorial so as not to be a victim of any form of exploitation.

“ Anyone who deals with the faceless authors of the fake advertorial does so at his or her own risk.”
