Nasarawa lawmaker urges unity among members

Mr. Mohammed Omadefu (APC-Keana) in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has urged his colleagues to remain united for service delivery and sustained victory of the party beyond 2023.

He made the calls when he hosted the APC executive members of Keana Local Government along with the 10 ward officials of the party from the area on Thursday in Lafia.

Omadefu, also the Chairman of, House Committee on Information, said that unity and understanding were the best instruments for the party’s success and tasked the party officials to continue to embrace them for their victory at all times.

“I want to congratulate you for your emergence as executive members of our great party in Keana Local Government Area.

“I also want to congratulate all of us for the successful and peaceful conduct of the local government and ward congresses in our area and the state at large.

“Let’s continue to be united in order to take our party to greater heights and for the victory of our party beyond 2023,” he said.

Omadefu also urged the executive members of the party in the area to continue to be neutral in the interest of peace and for the overall development of the state.

He assured of continued purposeful leadership in the assembly in order to improve the standard of living of his constituents and the state at large.

“You are all aware of what I have done and still do towards improving the living conditions of our people.

“What I am doing is that I want to leave as the legacy that I will be remembered for.

“When the time comes, I will surely leave the seat for another person, someone was here before I came and nothing lasts forever, but my quest is to ensure that I did my best for the time I will be here.

“So, I will continue to do my best and by God’s grace I will represent you well at all times,” he said.

He, therefore, solicited continued support from all and sundry to enable him to succeed.

Omadefu also urged his constituents and other residents of the state to continue to support Gov. Sule Abdullahi’s administration beyond 2023, in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

Earlier, Mr. Abraham Ishaleku, the APC Chairman, Keana Local Government Area, said that the visit was to identify with the lawmaker and to assure him of their support at all times.

“We want to assure you of our 100 percent support at all times,” he said.

The chairman also pledged their readiness to continue to support the present administration of Sule to succeed beyond 2023.
