Nasarawa Varsity PhD students meet Gbajabiamila over LG autonomy crisis

The 2024 PhD students of the Public Administration department of Nasarawa State University, Keffi on Friday presented their position paper on how to end the local government autonomy crisis in Nigeria to the President’s Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
This development was made public by Engr Sunday Babalola, who represented the students at the presidential villa in Abuja.
Babalola described the meeting as part of the students’ study tour to key government institutions across the country.
He wrote, “On Friday, 25th of April,2025 at the President Villa, Abuja. I had the privilege of presenting the position paper of the year 2024 class of PhD students of Nasarawa State University, Keffi on how to resolve the contentious issue of local government autonomy in Nigeria to the Chief of Staff to the president, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, CFR.
“The visit was part of our study tour to key government institutions in the country. The Chief of Staff gave a great account of himself as a seasoned and experienced legislator who knows his onions, he touched on a number of issues relating to public administration and how knowledge is an indispensable tool of national development.
“He described the office of the Chief of Staff as the engine room of any administration. Thank you sir for the opportunity to tap into your wealth of experience.”
