
A goal in each half was all Team Osun needed to book a place in the final of the male football event at the ongoing 6th National Youth Games (NYG) in Ilorin.
Team Osun’s 2-0 victory over Team Ebonyi on Sunday at the University of Ilorin Maracana Stadium, means they will lock horns with Team Kwara in the final on Monday.
Okere Akanji scored for Team Osun in the first half before Olayinka Jimoh sealed the victory with a second goal in the second half of the match.
Earlier in the first semi-final match decided at the same venue, a less-coordinated Team Kwara labored hard to secure a 1-0 victory over their Cross River counterparts to book a place in the final.

Team Cross River’s Effiong Okon scored their own goal in the second half to help Team Kwara set up a final with Team Osun.
Okon scored their own goal in an attempt to head back to his goalkeeper who was already out of his line to ward off Team Kwara’s attack.
The final match is scheduled for Oct. 18.
