Ndidi now worth €60m

Super Eagles combative midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi’s market value has continued to soar in recent times, even as the Nigerian international keeps showing superlative performances both for club and country. According to the Transfer Market, the Nigerian international’s value has increased from €50 million to €60 million, which is a 20 percent increase.

Ndidi’s new market value puts him in the joint-third position along with Achraf Hakimi on the African continent. The Inter Milan and Morocco star is also valued at €60 million.

Ndidi’s rise in value has put him as Africa’s third most valuable player, tying Hakimi, and only behind Liverpool duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
It’s a remarkable rise for the 24-year-old, who joined Leicester City from Belgian side, Genk, in January 2017 for just €17.6 million.

Ndidi has gone on to become a vital player in Leicester’s team. He has a contract until 2024, but the Foxes know he could be set for a big-money move anytime and have already lined up a potential replacement.

Nigerians that will make difference among 528 players

Meanwhile, Leicester City has mapped out plans to get a potential replacement for their holding midfielder, whose current contract will run until 2024.
Nursing the fears that the Nigerian star may dump the Foxes in the summer, Leicester City is targeting Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder, Yves Bissouma, as a potential replacement for Ndidi.
Although Brendan Rodgers’ men have already brought in Boubakary Soumaré, he is not seen as a replacement for the Nigerian star.

It would be recalled that since arriving in 2017, no player has made more successful tackles than Ndidi in the Premier League. These performances have not gone unnoticed, and Leicester City is already looking at a replacement should he leave this summer. According to Fabrice Hawkins via GFFN, the Foxes want to sign Bissouma, who is also a target for Arsenal, as a replacement for Nididi.

However, any club hoping to sign the Nigerian player may need to cough out at least 60m euros following a rise in his value.
