NDLEA nabs man with 1.40kg illicit drugs in Lagos

A man simply identified as Okafor Emmanuel has been arrested by the operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA), after he was caught with 1.40 kg of cocaine in Lagos state.

This was confirmed in a statement by the spokesperson of the agency , Mr Femi Babafemi.

According to him, Okafor was nabbed at the Muritala Muhammad International Airport on his arrival from Sao Paulo, Brazil after he concealed the illicit drug in the handles of his bag.

Upon investigation, the suspect revealed that he was an ex-footballer with the university of Nigeria teaching hospital (UNTH),adding that he played two seasons with Sri Lanka before moving to Brazil but could not advance in his career due to lack of official documents.
