Netizens anticipate as Chief Priest vows to release Speed Darlington

The ongoing social media beef between Grammy-winning singer, Burna Boy and socialite, Cubana Chief Priest has taken another turn as the 30BG fan vowed to secure the release of embattled rapper, Speed Darlington aka Akpi on Monday.

Amid the trading of words, the socialite announced on Sunday that, “Tomorrow we are coming for you Akpi, make we now show power”.

His announcement has raised diverse questions with a lot of netizens wondering if he would be able to pull through as promised.

Recall that Darlington has been in detention for several weeks for publishing a video in September where he questioned Burna Boy’s sexuality.

In the video, Speed Darlington said Burna Boy gained publicity in the US and was even nominated for a Grammy after he became close to embattled singer Diddy. He went on to ask if Burna Boy’s bum was greased with oil after he became close to Diddy.

Reacting to Chief Priest’s vow, a netizen @Ishow_leck wrote, “Let’s leave name aside, Cubana don’t have the kind of power Burna has, please. He should leave story and forget what he was in the past.”

Another X user said, “The only thing Burna Boy has than CP (Chief Priest) is fame. Money o, connection, don’t joke with CP.

“Fame and power are two different things. He will definitely do something meaningful to assist Akpi out of prison and the case will continue in court,” were the words of Engr C. Peter on X.

Alli Moshood wrote, “So if Burna didn’t sub him, he for continue to look away. His ego is now bruised, he remembers Akpi. If they advise you to stay out of trouble, na for your own good.”

A Facebook user, Dan Madu wrote, “If CP succeeds in pulling Akpi out of detention. Then Burna should be careful of CP. CP is trying to show that he has some long legs and hands beyond regular banters,
He’s trying to show how influential he can be in the real scheme.”
