Diverse reactions have welcomed claims by a Nigerian pastor, Gosple Arochukwu that a snake fell on him during a church service and died instantly.
Arochukwu, the head pastor of Shekinah Arena Gospel Ministries, posted a video on his Facebook page where a member of the church was seen rushing to step on a snake after it reportedly fell from the ceiling.
The preacher wrote, “While preaching today a cobra snake fell on me from the PVC ceiling and died at the spot. Video dropping shortly. Jesus thank you.”
Hours later, he posted the video where the image of a lifeless snake was sighted.
In the video, the pastor expressed shock, saying that the technical unit of the church worked on the ceiling the previous day and did not see the snake there.
He noted that the development was a pointer that somebody in the service was going to be delivered of their troubles.

However, netizens have continued to question the possibility of the claims of the pastor, arguing that snakes don’t lose their lives after receiving a few blows.
Some of the social media users alleged that the snake was already dead before it was thrown down and the miracle was scripted by the preacher.
In her reaction, Actress Sarah Martins doubted the possibility that a snake was crushed and it did not let out blood.
She responded on Instagram, “Snake is a living thing so it has blood. Where is the blood on the floor? Abi blood disappeared the moment it fell? Ehhh Papa.”
Another user, Den_wer01, claimed that the preacher had been dubious right from their primary school days, saying, “This mumu boy was my junior in primary school, Assumpta Primary School, Owerri. He started this thievery from small.”
“I’m just happy reading the comments and seeing that more and more people are waking up to the truth about these ‘men of God’ and their deceit,” @Khingbassey wrote.
Under the Facebook post made by the preacher, Seun Emmanuel, stressed that Arochukwu was playing on people’s intelligence, arguing that a cobra doesn’t die so easily.
Emmanuel wrote, “You said Cobra? Do you even know the strength of a Cobra? It fell from the roof and a man stepped on it then it died at instant, like really?
“The snake was not stepped on the head, only tail and body and it died, oh my God guys. The snake couldn’t even fight for its life at least? Have u ever seen where a snake was killed before?”
Another user, Jerry Uzor chastised people praising the preacher for the miracle.
“But wait ooh 😲 does it mean these people that are saying ‘more grace sir’ don’t see that thing is fake and arranged? God may I not be so foolish and blinded in spirit and soul,” he wrote.
Njoku Gentlesaint replied, “But you said it fell on you and died. Nawa ooo”
For Honest Itodo, even though he respects the preacher a lot, the video is very controversial.
Itodo said, “There are so many controversies around this video for an intelligent mind to comprehend.
“If it was a spiritual snake, we will all accept without doubt but a physical snake has to be assessed with some physical possibilities.”
“Your previous post said it died instantly after touching you, meanwhile in this video, a brother killed it. Please, sir, you will need to clear the air.”
