The Governor of Ekiti State and Visitor to Ekiti State University, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has inaugurated the new Governing Council of the university.
The new Council was inaugurated alongside that of Councils of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science & Technology, Ikere Ekiti and Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.
At the event, the governor expressed confidence in the ability of members of the Governing Councils to perform creditably.

He charged them to move their various institutions forward.
Speaking on behalf of the Governing Councils, the Pro-Chancellor & Chairman, Governing Council, Ekiti State University, Prof Akin Oyebode expressed gratitude to Governor Oyebanji for identifying the members for the task of rescue mission in the various institutions.
Oyebode assured the Governor that members of the Council would do their utmost best to face the challenges ahead.
