New NCoS Controller for Enugu, Onokohwomomo, assumes duty

A new Controller of Corrections for Enugu State, Mr Godwin Onokohwomomo, has assumed duty.
Onokohwomomo, who was transferred from Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Zone G Command, Benin, took over from Mr Joseph Emelue.

Emelue was elevated to the acting Zonal Commander, Zone F Command, Ibadan.

Speaking with newsmen after the handover formalities on Thursday, Onokohwomomo promised to sustain the high level of discipline built by his predecessor.

He also promised to sustain the culture of environmental cleanliness in all the custodial facilities under the command.

He said he would institute a “formidable management team” that would work to uplift all the custodial facilities in the state.

Onokohwomomo said: “My predecessor had done marvellously well.

“I will follow in his footsteps and add more innovation to further uplift the command and its custodial facilities.

“I am someone that believes in hard work, dedication and discipline. I hope to instil these traits in the rank and file in the command.

“As we maintain the cleanliness of the custodial centres and its facilities, I will seek further ways to give priority and improve the welfare of our inmates.’’
