Nigerian fans disappointed as PSG kicks Arsenal out of Champions League

Arsenal’s hope to lift the 2025 Champions League was let down on Wednesday night by a French team, Paris Saint-Germain Football Club.
The closest the English team has been to winning the Champions League was in 2005/2006 when it was conquered by Barcelona.
19 years later, the team, once again raised the hope of its supporters who dreamt of coming out victorious but it was dashed by a final goal of A. Hakimi of PSG in the 72nd minute.
This loss has once again, made Arsenal fans hope on lifting the trophy next season.
Here are some of the reactions of the Nigerian fans of the club:
A pastor, Obum Osigwe, wrote, “Most of the people mocking Arsenal, their team never made it to the Champions League nor out of the group stages. Harsh judges of our frailties. Hypocrites.”
Another fan, Akinsuli Bamidele, sent a message to Bukayo Saka saying, “Saka should come to a more ambitious club like Chelsea if he wants to win continental laurels.”
Solomon Sele Aital wrote, “Ordegaard turned up, Rice, Saka, Partey, skelly, Timber all turned up but Saliba and Martinelli decided to be the agents sent against Arsenal.
“We move, but e go pain me say by next season, Martinelli still dey start as our first choice winger. E go pain me gon.” (sic)
“Partey play, Partey play.
If to say Partey play last week, we for nor lose, see now Partey don give them 2nd goal.
“Lol, terrible defending from Partey.
Another trophy-less season!” A fan, Bolakale Osunsanya lamented after the huge loss.
Another fan said, “Nonsense. You think other teams breaking the bank to get strikers are dumb.
“Arteta and the management are failures putting all the strength and efforts of our strong defensive line and midfield in futility.
“The opportunity we had this season may never come anytime soon.”
Charles Raphael wrote, “If we had done our homework ‘signed just one topman and a winger,’ we wouldn’t have been putting up such posts. How come everyone but the club hierarchy saw that we needed manpower in that department?”
“Nothing special, it’s still the same Arsenal that we know we will see next season. Buy striker, they won’t, instead, they will prefer one academy underage player every year. Still thinking of why Arsenal signed Sterling. I tire for this club,” Eze Agu lamented.
