A former Guinness world record holder, chef Hilda Baci has declared that Nigerian jollof tastes better than that of Ghanaians.
In a recent interview, Hilda stated that she travelled to Ghana, where she tasted their jollof rice, which was not tasty.
She also stated that she had participated in a competition with a Ghanaian chef, who prepared his best representation of Ghanaian jollof.
“Nigerian jollof is better than Ghanaian jollof and I have been to Ghana, I have eaten the jollof.
“I’ve done a competition with a Ghanaian chef who made his best representation of Ghanaian Jollof and I have seen the recipe, not one.
“You guys have quite a number, so you have the tolo beefy one, so it’s pretty much Jollof, but it’s just made with basic.
“I wasn’t there, and I don’t have a lot of information, I cannot say why, like, this is, but with Nigerian Jollof, Nigerians don’t play about flavour building,” she said
