Investigate Adamawa Supplementary Election, Tinubu urges Police

Gunmen shoot man dead for trying to save wife
A man identified as Musa Abari was shot dead by some kidnappers in Kasada village in the Kuje area of the Federal Capital Territory(FCT)
The incident occurred when the kidnappers invaded the Kasada village, forcing their way into homes of residents of the area with sophisticated arms and ammunitions on Monday April 17th.

The House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee investigating the sale of 48 million barrels of crude oil amounting to over $2.4bn and crude oil export to global destinations from 2014 to date yesterday threatened to serve the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, and the Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, with summons over their failure to answer queries on the alleged illegal sale of crude oil to China and utilisation of funds recovered through whistle-blowers without National Assembly appropriation.

ECOWAS evaluates its interventions on post-2022 flood disasters
The Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), on Wednesday, concluded its first face of the meeting to discuss and validate data and humanitarian needs assessment report on the region’s 2022 Flood Disaster and Associated Food and Nutrition Crisis.
The Directorate of Communication, ECOWAS Commission, in a statement said the first part of the meeting which starts from 17 to 19 April 2023 will focus on the impact of the flood disaster of 2022 and ECOWAS’s post-flood strategy to accompany Member States to assist the affected population.
Police denies torturing murder suspect to death in custody
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Police Command on Wednesday, denied the killing of a murder suspect, Mr. Erasmus Emhenya in custody.
Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, in a statement said the Command has commenced full investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of Erasmus Emhenya ‘m’ on April 6, 2023, while in Police custody.
