
A Nigerian Masters student, Somtochukwu Okwuoha, aged 26, is facing jail time and deportation after a jury found him guilty of making terrorist threats against Dundee University in Scotland.
Okwuoha was found guilty of seven charges, including threatening to murder university staff, carrying out mass murder on campus, and using biological weapons.
According to the report, he threatened to commit terrorist crimes, reveal staff details international authorities and plant bombs at the university.
The court heard that Okwuoha had claimed to be a member of the terrorist group ISIS and had enlisted their help in carrying out the attacks.
He also told staff that he planned to target the city of Dundee with a chemical attack.
Okwuoha is due to be sentenced next month, and Sheriff William Wood will also consider the Crown’s motion for an order to deport him back to Nigeria.
