Nigerians have continued to decry the setting ablaze of the Nnewi home of a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and that Special Adviser to Lagos State governor on Drainage and Water Resources Joe Igbokwe, in Nnewi, Anambra State, saying it is barbaric and pure wickedness.
Recalled that Igbokwe’s home, in Anambra State, was set on fire on Sunday by suspected members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).
Igbokwe on his Facebook page had written: “IPOB invaded my house in Nnewi about now. I am sure they razed down my house giving the jerrycans of petrol I saw being offloaded from their Sienna car via CCTV.
“To God be the glory. I am still alive. My study is my greatest regret.”
Joe Igbokwe has been vocal in his criticism of alleged violence by IPOB, a proscribed group led by Nnamdi Kanu.
