Nigerians react as Adesina speaks of cold in Paris

Many Nigerians have commented on a recent post on Facebook by the Special Adviser Media & Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Femi Adesina.

Adesina in his post on Facebook had said that he could not wait to get back to Nigeria which according to him has the best weather.

Adesina in the post on Tuesday had lamented that the weather in Paris was 4 degrees which was in contrast to Nigeria’s 38 degrees saying that the cold in ‘Paris was enough to freeze the Devil, who is already sentenced to eternal fire and brimstone.’

He also noted that the cold in Paris ‘sends you hiding under the blanket, duvet, and bedsheets.’

He said: ‘When we were leaving Abuja on Sunday night, the pilot of the Air France airliner told us the weather condition in Paris, our destination, was 7 degrees.

Considering that Abuja was hovering between 34 and 38 degrees, Paris was cold enough to freeze the Devil, who is already sentenced to eternal fire and brimstone. Imagine the news then when we were 30 minutes to landing, and the pilot announced that the temperature had dropped to 4 degrees.

”That’s what you usually get in December, not early November. The kind of cold that you feel in your bones. It was a wintry embrace Paris gave us, the type that sends you hiding under the blanket, duvet, and bedsheets, from where I’m peeping, to do this caption.

”We are here to attend the Paris Peace Forum, where President Muhammadu Buhari, is delivering a speech. After the event, home, post-haste, to the best weather in the world.”

But some of Adesina’s fans and commentators said that he was in Paris enjoying himself

Ifeanyi Nwugwu said ‘Best Weather but one of the most dangerous countries to live in. If weather and climate were controlled by men, Buhari’s approach would have reduced it to nothing.’

Uchechukwu Kizzy Ogu said: ‘Did you say the devil is already sentenced to eternal fire and brimstone? That’s nothing compared with the misery and anguish your govt has sentenced Nigerians to since 2016. Even the devil is lenient compared with what we’ve in Nigeria today.’

Gamde Velle said: ‘Check there hospitals in paris, check there roads, check there structure, check there leaving condition, check there administration…..this is wat you bring to the country….. build one top class hospital in Nigeria to ease medical tourism….wen you are gone, you will be remember of your good deed…..but for now hmmmm’

According to Abacha Seth Aliyu he said that: ‘Mr. Femi you are enjoying fresh air in a country with good governance, fairness and equity unlike here in Nigeria your Boss Mohammadu Buhari, has completely makes Nigeria the worse country to leave in….. From now to 2023 is like five years to many Nigerians who are eager to see … the old man vacate the VILLA.

Ibrahim Mikail Babba who agreed with Abacha Seth Aliyu said: ‘you have said it all, we share the same thought with you. To me, 2023 looks like ten years to now. But let’s pray to God to choose for us this time around, let pray for his forgiveness, for we have gone wrong for him giving us a leader like this. Let’s us all start asking God for forgiveness.’

Mohammed Babale asked So what are you saying, l don’t really understand you. Whether organising beauty pageant or extravagant, that is non of my business, all lam asking for is good governance, whatever any one does, is liable to answer for himself here after. We are asking God to choose the best for us, because honestly, the administration of Buhari is a calamity.

Abacha Seth Aliyu to Mohammed Babale asked ‘can you boldly say Buhari is a visionary leader? All these rhetorics you are talking about is on paper but not a reality. Baba has cripple the business of that old widow frying akara to feed her children then what empowerment are u talking about?
