Night Watchman Killed As Robbers Invade Kano Popular Tricycle  Plaza

25 year-old night watchman, Aminu Salihu a resident of Gydai Gyadi quarters in Kano metropolis  has been murdered  by  yet to be  identified suspected  armed robbers.

The incident occurred  last Friday(yesterday) night TN gathered.

TN further gathered that the suspected  assailants of the watchman , invaded the plaza during   odd hours on Friday, the watchman rebuffed their attempt to burgle  the premises, TN further gathered.

 The elder brother of  the deceased , Ibrahim Salihu who confirmed the incident   said he received a call from a good Samaritan notifying him that his sibling has fallen victim of  an attack by armed robbers .

Salihu said “ early (today) Saturday  morning a caller called   to inform me that my junior brother Aminu was attacked by armed robbers at his working place along BUK road.

“I immediately mobilized other family members, when we got there, I was informed that armed robbers attacked the plaza, where my brother works as  watchman, we were told that he engaged  them in a duel they overpowered him,  they succeeded in tying him down and continued to stab him and struck him with their knives, cutlass, club and other dangerous weapon until he could no longer breath.

“we were told that, they left him in the  pool of his blood, later the police arrived and carried my brother to Muritala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, the doctor on duty , said he was Brought In Dead(B.I.D).

When contacted the spokesman, Kano Police command DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa told TN that he is unaware of the incident.

He told  our correspondent that the police would investigate the matter and would brief the press on the outcome of its Preliminary Investigation(PI).
