Outcome of Ondo election will determine South-West’s ambition in 2023, Akeredolu says

Shortly after commissioning the Revenue House to mark the start of his second term, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state has said that the outcome of the elections in Ondo state would determine the chances of the South-West in the 2023 presidential elections.
While in Ondo state, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had met with traditional rulers in the state, as mobilised by the governor.
Tinubu has not confirmed if he would be running for the 2023 presidency but his political foot soldiers are already doing some work ahead of the contest.
And according to the governor, “The October 10 election in Ondo State is not about Akeredolu but about the future of Ondo State and the entire Yoruba nation because whatever the outcome will be shall determine our seriousness in the quest for the 2023 presidency.”
