Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has urged the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar and other members of the party to “leave the Integrity governors alone and focus on their problems.”

Wike made the call during during the construction of Emeka-Igbo Etche road in Rivers on Friday.

Speaking during the event, Wike disclosed the condition given to former President Olusegun Obasanjo by Atiku, who was his vice president, during the 2003 election.

The governor revealed that Obasanjo had gone on his knees to plead with Atiku to support his reelection in 2003.

However, according to the Rivers governor, Atiku asked Obasanjo to sack late Tony Anenih as the Minister of Works and Housing as a condition for him to support his re-election.

Wike also stated that Atiku asked the former president to remove the deceased from his presidential campaign council.
