No plan to probe Oyetola, says Adeleke’s transition committee

The Transition Committee set up by the Osun State Governor-elect, Senator Ademola has said that the incoming administration has no plans to probe the Gboyega Oyetola-led administration and any of the past governments.
The secretary of the committee, Bamidele Salam said this on Monday during a radio programme in Osogbo.

According to him, the committee has been busy gathering memoranda from members of the public, retired and serving civil servants and public officials who have different contributions.

He noted that the probe carried out by past administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola was not fruitful.
The National Assembly member emphasised that there would be no probe stressing that the governor-elect has said he is coming on board to give Osun people different thing and not out to witch-hunt anyone.

He said probe never bring anything tangible, citing an example of when the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola gathered some people to probe the government of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola,stressing that nothing came out of it.

Salam said the Governor-Elect has officially informed Oyetola of the setting up of the committee on August 2, but no response received so far.

He said they (the committee members) expect the outgoing administration to do the honourable thing by coming up with representatives that will work with them.

On the petition against the PDP at the Tribunal, the federal lawmaker said the PDP is not losing sleep on it, stating that they won the election and are ready to defend their victory.
