
NPFL: Go for victory again

As the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season kicks off on Saturday, September 30, 2023 in several venues across the country, Niger Tornadoes FC Chairman Engr. Ibrahim Dada has charged his players to go for the maximum points at stake in their opener away at Abia Warriors.
Engr, who gave the charge while speaking with the players shortly after their final training session on Wednesday ahead of this weekend league opener, assured the players of the management commitment to their success in all competitions this season.
He noted that he has personal interest in the opening match and therefore challenged the players to prove that they are capable of snatching point(s) on the road.
“This first match is for me, go out there get me the maximum points and see what I can do… Engr.
“The coaches have trust and confidence in you and so is the management, we have no doubt that you can prove the doubters wrong” he said.
Engr Dada, While wishing the players a successful journey, prayed for an injury free outing and called on the players to be disciplined and committed and equally urged them to be prayerful, irrespective of who makes the traveling list or not.
Former Permanent Secretary in the Sports Ministry, Hamza Sarki Bello, who was also present to deliver his farewell message to the players encouraged the to go out and make the state proud.
Responding, the team’s captain, Ifeanyi Okoye while thanking the chairman for the visit, promised that the team will not disappoint.
