NSCDC parades four suspected bandits, informants in Sokoto

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested four suspected bandits and informants operating around Sokoto and Zamfara states.

NSCDC Commandant in Sokoto State, Mr. Saleh Dada, paraded the suspects on Wednesday in Sokoto.

Dada said the suspects, Dahiru Majiya, 28; Umar Abubakar, 27; Yabani Muhammad, 40 and 48-year-old Muhammad Danlabbo are residents of Tureta, Dange-Shuni, and environs in Sokoto State.

He said Majiya was engaged in banditry and confessed to having killed many people while Danlabbo was said to have strong links with a high-profile politician who introduced him to the nefarious activity.

The suspects were alleged to have been involved in high-profile kidnappings, banditry, cattle rustling, and murder in villages of Sokoto and Zamfara states.

 

Dada said the investigation was progressing as the politician alleged to be a support post for Danlabbo would also be invited for questioning.

The commandant also paraded one Sani Ibrahim, 35 who allegedly engaged in sodomizing children of Qur’anic Almajiri schools.

Dada said Ibrahim was accused of sodomizing 12 children. Three of the children were seen at the NSCDC office assisting in the investigation.
