The outgoing Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, on Tuesday bid farewell to youths across the state, urging them to key into all the entrepreneurial skills they learned throughout his eight years of administration in the state.
He said that learning a skill remains the only solution to live a responsible life and be free of depression and other societal challenges, especially in the face of today’s Nigeria.
Obiano, spoke through his Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy, Professor Nkechi Theresa Obiekeze, at the one-day Sensitization and Training Workshop for Youths leaders across the 181 communities in the state, mostly, from the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).
He advised them to be good ambassadors to their parents, community, the incoming administration of Professor Chukwuma Soludo, and the country at large.
She said the one-day event that took place at the State Ministry of Youth conference Hall, in Awka, on Tuesday, aimed at refreshing their minds towards using various social media platforms for further self-enhancement and development.
The commissioner also urged the youths to always use Social Media positively for inherent gains that will help them to become self-reliant in their future pursuits.
She appeals to them to show more seriousness in subsequent training in Soludo’s government.

“On behalf of the Ministry, the state governor, Willie Obiano, and the state government at large, we wish you all the best in life, Obiekeze prayed.
Speakers at the Workshop, Dr. Ikechukwu Umeh and Mr. Obinna Nwakpadolu, appealed to the participants to take advantage of the training to improve their living standards.
The outgoing government encouraged the youths to shun social vices and embrace empowerment programmes of the government.
The Awka North LGA Cordinator, Commrade Onukwube Augustine, thanked the Obiano administration for showing seriousness in impacting on the
youths.
