Obiano’s wife was drunk, verbally attacked me – Bianca

Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu and widow of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, has said that the wife of the ex-Governor Willie Obiano and former First Lady of the state, Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano was drunk during the inauguration ceremony of Prof. Charles Soludo on Thursday.

Speaking on the fight between her and the ex First Lady of the state, Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano, Bianca said that Obiano’s wife verbally attacked her using unprintable words and vile language.

She also said that she gave Mrs Obiano ”a dirty slap” to stop her from attacking her as she tried to touch her head and remove my headtie.

Recalled that on Thursday at the inauguration of Prof Chukwuma Soludo as the governor of Anambra , Ebelechukwu was reported to have slapped Mrs Bianca Ojukwu.

Ex Gov Obiano and others were already seated when Mrs Obiano stepped  in and moved to the front row where the widow of Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu was seated and slapped her.

The action drew the attention of security agents and some personalities who pulled Mrs Obiano off the hold of Bianca who was visibly shocked at the action.

Mrs Obiano was later taken away and shortly afterwards, her husband left the venue since the incident happened after the new governor had been sworn in.

Bianca said: “I did not pay any attention to her arrival. Surprisingly, she walked towards me and I thought she was coming to greet me. Instead she verbally attacked me with her voice raised, taunting me and asking me what I was there to do, using unprintable, vile language.”

“I left her but she kept on aggressively putting her hand on my shoulders and shouting.

“While I ignored her verbal onslaught as advised by people sitting around me, I requested twice that she refrains from touching me with her hands. She proceeded to do so yet again and tried to touch my head and remove my headtie.

“It was at that point I stood up to defend myself and gave her a dirty slap to stop her from attacking me. As she made it towards me, I removed her wig, she then held on to her wig with her two hands and tried to take the wig away from me.

“How could the first lady be so drunk at that time? I stayed back to watch the ceremony till the end and left with my dignity intact,” Bianca said.
