Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has reacted to attacks from some Nigerians over the pictures from the Paris Summit.
ThisNigeria reports that President Bola Tinubu and other world leaders had attended a summit themed ‘A New Global Financing Pact’ hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.
Okonjo-Iweala had shared pictures of herself and some other world leaders from the event. However, President Tinubu was missing in the photographs.
Reacting, some Nigerians attacked the WTO boss, accusing her of snubbing President Tinubu for political reasons.
Shortly after, Okonjo-Iweala shared more photos from the event, with President Tinubu present in some of them.

Responding to the attacks, Okonjo-Iweala said that pictures are shared on social media in the order received by her aides or colleagues.
“Nigerians please relax! Re Paris, Interesting attacks from both sides. Sadly shows the depth of polarization in our society.
“I post photos in the order received by accompanying staff or colleagues. Reading more into it is unwarranted. Let’s unite to build our country not attack,” she tweeted.
