Why Nigerian students flee abroad, by Ex-Ondo Speaker, Bello

Former Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly ,Dr Bakita Bello has attributed the exodus of Nigerian students to other countries with less resources and low standard of education to poor educational management,incessant strikes higher institutions and lack of security.

He spoke as Nigerians are awaiting the evacuation of their fellow citizens from Ukraine due to Russia invasion

Bakita reminded Nigerians government that university of Ibadan between 1948 and late 60s was rated as one of the leading university globally..

The former legislator and University lecturer urged government to be proactive and build on the legacies of our fore fathers particularly in area of education and health.

However, a legal practitioner, Bayo Awe hailed the prompt action of Buhari administration to safe Nigerians in the troubled countries.

Awe urged Nigerians to always believe in Nigeria projects by patronising own hospitals and higher institutions.

He appealed to the two warring nations to shelve their swords and enter into negotiations through dialogue to resolve their disagreements.

The duo called on our government to fast track the evacuation exercise without allowing bureaucracy and bottleneck to delay the process.
