Ex- Olympian, Jeremiah Okorodudu has sent a save our soul message to the Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Sunday Dare asking the Minister to come to his financial aid as he recovers from sickness.
Okorodudu, who has been down with partial stroke in the past four months, told our correspondent on his sick bed yesterday that he has been alive because of help he is getting from good Samaritans and appealed to the Sports Minister to use his good offices and help him.
“I’m appealing to the Sports Minister and well-meaning Nigerians to come to my aid because my condition is getting worse every day and the cost of medication is very high. The other time I was bedridden, the Minister actually helped me out and I thank him for that but now my condition has worsened, and my wife can no longer cope with the cost of drugs and other expenses’, he stressed.

He also used the occasion to debunk information in some sections of the media that some ex- boxers contributed more than N1 million for him; saying that the truth of the matter is that some former fighters based abroad led by Albert Eremosele raised about N600, 000 for him but that the money has since been exhausted as the cause of treating stroke is very high which necessitated his present appeal.
