
A former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media to former-President Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe was on Monday convicted by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
Okupe’s conviction comes after he was found guilty of contravening sections 16(1) & (2) of the Money Laundering Act.

Presiding over the case, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu said following investigation Okupe was convicted for accepting cash in excess of the threshold allowed under the Act, without going through financial institution.
Doyin Okupe is the Director General of Presidential Campaign Council of the Labour Party (LP).
