Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Ondo state and its Candidate for the forthcoming Akure North/South House of Representatives Bye-election in Ondo State on the platform of the major opposition party, Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu kick-started his campaign on Tuesday with an awareness rally across the major streets within Akure Metropolis.
The roadshow which attracted a huge crowd was led by Barrister Eyitayo Jegede SAN, the popular candidate of PDP in the last gubernatorial election.
The candidate and other leaders of the party urged the electorate to vote for PDP in the February 26 election in order to enjoy continuity expansion of good legacies initiated by the Late Hon. Omolafe Adedayo (Expensive).
Eyitayo described the candidate of the party as a God sent, a divine emissary who will restore the lost hope and contribute his wealth of exposure and experience to the development of Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency.
At the popular Isinkan market, Akure, the traders lamented the high prices of foodstuffs and other essential commodities under the present APC’s government.
Besides, they decried the unprecedented spate of insecurity and abject poverty.
Adu paid glowing tribute to the fond memories of the late federal lawmaker and promised to explore other untapped developmental avenues for the betterment of the expectant constituents if elected.
PDP leaders, Gbenga Jegede, Tony Ala others also implored the residents to vote for PDP to quickly put an end to the suffering and socio-economic vices in Nigeria after seven years of APC’s misgovernance.

They attested to Adu’s integrity, high level of discipline, oratory prowess, unbridled brilliance, philanthropic character, unquestionable sources of resources among other great virtues.
They implored the electorate to work for his victory at next week Saturday’s electoral contest.
The PDP train moves to Akure North tomorrow in continuation of its sensitization campaign.
