The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba has ordered an investigation into an indicting statement by controversial singer, Portable that he founded the notorious One Million Boys cult.
ThisNigeria reported that Portable, in a now deleted video, had claimed that he was the founder of two notorious Lagos cult groups namely: Ajah Boys and One Million Boys.
“Listen to me carefully, have you heard of Ajah Boys or One Million Boys? I founded those groups, go and ask Sammy Larry,” he said in the 6 seconds clip.
Recall that the One Million Boys cult group terrorised Lagosians during the COVID-19 lockdown.
There were several reports of the boys breaking into homes and robbing residents in different locations across the state.

The boys whom are mostly teenagers often move in their hundreds wielding dangerous weapons, harming those who do not want to part with their belongings.
Reacting to the video, the force PPRO, Muyiwa Adejobi in a statement said: “Sequel to the trending video of one Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable where he claimed to have formed the One-Million Boys cult group terrorising some parts of Lagos State, the IGP has ordered CP Lagos to investigate the indicting statement and take necessary legal action.
“This directive is premised on the continuous effort of the Nigeria Police Force to fish out pillars and sponsors of cult groups to decimate their activities and restore sanity to our society.”
