Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), Godwin Emefiele has disclosed that the Apex Bank has increased the interest rate from 13% to 14%.

Emefiele made this known in a press briefing during the 286th Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting at the CBN headquarters in Abuja,on Tuesday.

This is coming few months after a recent 13% increase in the interest rate by the CBN

The Governor, however, said the move was reached to help reduce the rising inflation rate in the country.
