Oyo State government sensitizing promotional lottery materials

Oyo State government is poised to penalise telecommunication companies and digital satellite providers who portray lottery promotions on TV and radio stations.
This was revealed by Jide Boladuro, Director-General of Oyo State Gaming Board, during a chat with journalists in Ibadan. He went on to state that Seyi Makinde, the state governor, would like for the Gaming Board to sensitize the public about the consequences of underage gaming in the society.
As a result of this mandate, telecommunication companies and digital satellite providers are restricted from broadcasting lottery promotional contents that are not registered with the Gaming Board.
Also, gaming centres are banned from providing services to underage youths.
