The Chief Dan Orbih led South-South zonal executive of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to hold a meeting with Governors and Governorship candidates of the party.
The meeting will hold at the Zonal Head office of the Party in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Thursday, December 15th.
ThisNigeria learnt that the meeting may not be unconnected to the crisis rocking the party, following the refusal of its National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, to step down from his position as he had promised.
A statement issued by the South-South PDP zonal publicity secretary, Bishop Etim Ante read in part: “Arising from the Zonal Working Committee meeting presided over by the National Vice Chairman, South South, High Chief Dan Orbih, the following resolution were reached.
“The Zonal Working Committee reviewed activities of organs and structures of the Party in the zone, and hereby commend the leadership of the Party at all levels for their unwavering support and commitment to the growth and development of the Party.

“The Zonal Working Committee is conscious of the challenges within the Party and the need for cohesion and harmony for positive results in the 2023 general elections.
“In view of the above, the Zonal Working Committee further resolves to meet with all PDP Governors and Governorship candidates of the Party in the Zone in an emergency meeting slated to hold on Thursday, 15th December, 2022 at 10am prompt.”
