
A Pastor in COCIN Wild Life Park Jos, Plateau State, Rev. Polycarp Zongo, has regained freedom seven months after being kidnapped by Islamic State militants in Gombe State.
He was among several humanitarian workers and civilians released by the terrorists on Monday, June 14 in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The Priest spoke about the experiences he had while in captivity during a service held at the church in Garki Abuja.
Rev Zongo alongside two Christian women, were kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists on the 19th of October 2020.
In a video released by the terrorist two weeks after the kidnap, the priest explained how he and the two women were kidnapped when they were traveling from Jos to Gombe State for a conference.

Recall that the priest explained in the video then how he was kidnapped with the two women on their way to a church conference
Rev Zongo said in Hausa Lalong seeking the help of the Governor, Christian Associaton of Nigeria (CAN) then.
Before negotiating, a hoax from unknown sources claimed that he had been released.
