Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane, has begged Davido to pay him for his songwriting contribution to a track they had released together.
Dammy Krane made this plea via X on Monday, October 24, 2023.
He said that he knows that it is hard for rich people to pay debts, but he urged Davido to consider his daughter.
He wrote; “I know it is hard for Rich people to pay debts but @Davido, if not for my sake Blooda, Pay me my money at least because of my daughter’s sake (your niece if at all) school fees no easy for Naija now o, na everybody dey try secure their future. Na money we want no be wahala o.”
He also reminded Davido of how he took Idowest from his record label, without any compensation or acknowledgment.
He said that he did not complain because he saw Davido as a brother, but he wondered why Davido did not want to pay him for a song he tweeted that he wrote.
He wrote; “Let’s not forget @Davido you took Idowest from my record label, I didn’t talk because I saw you as a brother , neither did I drag the artiste ( cos I had done my part to help him) , Genuinely I want to know why you don’t want to pay me for a song you tweeted that I wrote afterall.”
This is not the first time that Dammy Krane has called out Davido over an unpaid debt.
In September 2022, he accused Davido of refusing to pay him for his songwriting contribution to an earlier released track, even after reaching out to him privately.
He also claimed that Davido blocked him on social media after he asked for his money.
Davido has not responded to Dammy Krane’s allegation as of the time of filing this report.
