Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP convention Saturday, major party gladiators have started trooping into Abuja with campaign materials and supporters.

ThisNigeria nosed around Thursday and found out that already Rivers State Governor and leading presidential aspirant in the PDP, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has stormed Abuja, the nation’s capital which is the host city for this year’s convention in grand style.

There is already a beehive of political activities in Abuja, almost all the hotels in the city center are fully booked for delegates who are expected to arrive on Friday.

Hotels in Maitana, Utako, Wuse, Asokoto, and other nearby locations have already been fully booked.
ThisNigeria gathered that Wike alone has booked 3,500 rooms in hotels in Abuja.

Also, several Wike-branded Hyace buses are all over Abuja. A delegate who did not want to be mentioned told ThisNigeria that 150 Wike branded buses are already on the ground to convey Wike’s supporters who are expected to vote for him in the primary election.

Our source said that so far, 70 percent of the delegates who are on ground are for Wike and barring any sudden twist, Wike will be the man to beat and that all will be in for a shocker come this weekend.

The insider who preferred to remain anonymous Wike started preparing for occasion immediately he noticed that Tambuwal lost to Atiku in the 2019 presidential primaries.
