Four former governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde are currently meeting behind closed doors with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The former governors and the Oyo State governor that were tagged G-5 (Integrity) governors arrived at the State House at about 4:21 pm and proceeded straight to the President’s office.
Apart from Seyi Makinde, other former governors, who are members of the G-5 at the meeting are Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State.

Speaking to State House correspondents on their meeting with the President, Governor Makinde said, “Well, nation-building is a very difficult task. You have to keep evaluating, you know what you are doing, where you’re going So, we have to keep seeing the president to let him know what is happening.
“And for this evening the G-5, the integrity group, we also came to let the President know what we stood for, fairness, justice, and equity.”
Asked where G-5 is going, he said, “We are going towards Mr. President, you know, coming with us on the route for fairness, justice, and equity in Nigeria.”
