A Federal High Court in Gusau has declined an exparte order filed by a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to pave way for the party’s National Executive meeting scheduled to hold on Thursday, October 24th.
It was reported earlier that the PDP Governors’ Forum, led by Senator Bala Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi state, was seeking an exparte order to ensure the NEC meeting holds to pave way for the forum to have their way in the ongoing feud for the soul of the party.
Court documents sighted by this medium showed that the request was made at 8.30am on 22nd October 2024 and filed by one Imam Auwal, a member of PDP in Gusau.
The group wants to ignore Federal High Court Abuja order barring the party from removing its acting national chairman, Umar Damagum.
However, Justice Salim Ibrahim, in a ruling on Tuesday declined the order and adjourned the case till Friday, October 25th.
