Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has unveiled Datti Ahmed-Baba as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.
The announcement was made during an official unveiling by the Labour Party on Friday in Abuja.
Ahmed-baba is a former lawmaker who represented Kaduna North Senatorial district.
ThisNigeria had reported that Doyin Okupe, the interim running mate to Obi withdrew from the race on Thursday.
Okupe made the announcement in a statement via Twitter.
“This afternoon I submitted my withdrawal letter from the position of the Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party to INEC.
“A replacement will be announced by d national chairman of d party shortly.I feel greatly blessed to hv been part of the foundation of success for the Labour Party.” he tweeted.
