The Ondo State Government on Friday held a mass burial and memorial service for victims of the St Francis Catholic Church massacre in Owo, Ondo state .
The event was held amidst heavy security presence took place at Boje Ibidapo Signature, Mydas Resort and Hotel, Ikare, Ondo.
In attendance was the Governor of the state Rotimi Akeredolu, his wife Betty, other dignitaries, families of victims as well as survivors of the attack.
Recall that gunmen had on Sunday, June 4, attacked st francis catholic church located on Owa-Luwa Street in Owo, the hometown of Akeredolu, leaving many parishioners dead and several others injured.
The state government had put the number of persons that died during the attack at 21.
