Plateau assembly tussle: Youths passes vote of confidence on Majority Leader

A coalition of Youths in Mikang Local Government Council of Plateau state on Sunday passed a vote of confidence on its member Hon. Naanlong Gapyil Daniel, describing him as a true representative of the people.

Leader of the group Joseph Nkat Lakai in a statement made available to Journalist in Jos described Hon. Na’anlong Daniel is a  dogged leader who can neither be manipulated nor intimidated.

“We the entire youths of Mikang are proud of our representative and the recent decision been taken by him and 15 other members of the State Assembly.

We advised those who are not from our constituency {Mikang} to stop calling our ever-working parliamentarian names, as every Constituency has its representative and should engage them to find out and get first-hand information on the recent happening in the State Assembly.

“It has become necessary for us to express our confidence in Hon. Na’anlong Daniel and also warned power-drunk and desperate politicians to stop calling our Honourable member names in regards to the state assembly Saga.

“What is happening in the state assembly is purely a legislative business and nobody should interfere as the legislature is an autonomous body and has every right to choose and change its leadership” Nkat stated.

The group also calls on the Former Speaker Hon. Abok Nuhu Ayuba to embrace peace and allow the legislative business to continue as he can’t be impeached twice.
