
The police on Friday arraigned a 30-year-old man, Idowu Hammed, in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing motorcycles worth N1.115 million.
Hammed, who was charged with stealing, however, pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Philip Amusan told the court that Hammed allegedly committed the offense sometime in 2021, at the New Garage area, Ibadan.
He said that the four TVS motorcycles worth N840,000 were the property of one Abiodun Olanrewaju.
Amusan said the defendant also allegedly stole one motorcycle worth N275, 000, property of one Folarin Musibau.

He said the offense contravened Section 390(9) of the criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs. Abimbola Amole-Ajimoti, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200, 000 and two sureties in like sum.
She subsequently adjourned the case until April 28, for hearing.
