The Ogun State Police command has arrested a man identified as Segun Omotosho for beating his wife to death in Abeokuta.

The suspect reportedly beat his wife simply identified as Bukola to death after she refused to hand over the papers of a private school owned by the deceased to him.

According to the command, Omotosho, who initially escaped, was arrested following a voice note recorded by the wife which was sent to her family surfaced ,where she claimed that the suspect hit her head with a padlock while he was beating over her refusal to hand over the documents.

Confirming the incident the spokesperson of the command, Abimbola Oyeyemi disclosed that the state commissioner of police has ordered the suspect be taken to the Homicide section of the State CIID for further investigation and prosecution.
